The President of Tourism Welfare Association said that there is no possibility of starting hotels and travel agencies by July. The attitude of the government seems that the tourism industry may sink this year. If this industry is not given relief now, then it may prove to be very difficult to recover from it in the coming times.

Economist and industry expert Dr. RN Tripathi says that till 2019, 43 crore jobs were created in the tourism sector in India, which was 8.2 percent of the total employment of the country. If 40 to 50 percent of the people lose their employment, then it will be more than two crores. The Government of India and the State Government consider tourism as an industry, yet it is disappointing that tourism is not included in the economic package given to the industries.
