Superstar Rajinikanth , who is currently shooting for Tamil film ‘Petta’ in and around Varanasi, took time off for darshan at the Kashi Vishwanath Temple on Tuesday evening. The thalaiva, along with actress Trisha Krishnan, reached the temple around 7 pm and attended the Saptrishi aarti .

Dressed in his characteristic white kurta, the actor stayed for nearly an hour and witnessed the entire aarti. Later, he was given a rudraksha mala along with prasad by the temple authorities who were also really delighted to have the superstar amidst them.

While coming out of the temple, a large crowd gathered near the chhatadwar, an entry point of the temple, as the news of the actor’s presence spread. He acknowledged his fans by waving at them.
